SOCIALLY VULNERABLE GROUPS

Social inclusion and social cohesion are prerequisites for the achievement of the objectives of economic growth, employment and social justice.

Employment Guidelines are aiming at strengthening and reinforcing social inclusion, fighting poverty, preventing exclusion from labour market, supporting integration in employment of people at a disadvantage and reducing regional disparities in terms of employment, unemployment and labour productivity.

In this context, the Operational Programme “HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT 2007- 2 013” aims at enhancing social cohesion by incorporating the principles of non-discrimination and accessibility for the disabled to such an extend that ensures equal access into the labour market for all disadvantaged groups in order to prevent incidents of marginalization and exclusion.

In the category of socially vulnerable groups are included:

  • Disabled
  • Repatriated
  • Migrants
  • Refugees
  • Long-term unemployed
  • Asylum seekers
  • Victims of trafficking and victims of intra-family violence
  • Minorities and individuals Individuals with cultural or religious particularities
  • Substance users and former substance users
